Scalloped Princess Dress - Little Kiwis Closet

This week I had the privilege of sewing up the Scalloped Princess Dress by Little Kiwis Closet.

This dress was so much fun to make! It took me a bit of time to decide which options to choose because it includes so many. But once I had my dress planned out, sewing it up was a breeze. I went with a royal purple floral print and added a nice sized embroidered initial on the front of the bodice.

I made it with a simple scoop neck which was one of 4 different neckline styles included in the pattern so there are plenty of options there. I also did the scalloped bottom bodice option because I just love how unique that is!

Little Miss Olivia just adores her new dress and I can't wait to make several more. And since it uses a circle skirt (my personal favorite), there is NO gathering! So what do you think?? I bet you can't wait to make one for your little one now too!

WOW! There has been so much going on over here at Fairytale Pattern Designs Headquarters (aka my sewing room!) that I have not taken the time to write. Have you been keeping up with us on Facebook? In addition to the fan page, we also have a group where a lot of incredible fans go to talk sewing, preview patterns in testing, and “hang out” in a virtual sewing room. I hope to see you there!

The latest pattern released is the Huntington Harbor Hat. It has quickly become a favorite! A little different from what I have been creating this past year and such a refreshing pattern to make. I would love to see the variations you have done with it so far! Here are a few from the testers and I.

Something new and coming very soon is the Icing Skirt Pattern. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek as
much as I do! Special thanks to Brittybird for testing!

It “seams” like just yesterday we were celebrating 10,000 fans on Facebook yet tonight, as I write you, I am humbled looking at the number that seems to be staring back at me: 16,270! I would again like to thank everyone who sponsored the giveaway, the judges who helped with the giveaway, and each of the wonderful seamstresses who shared their creations during the giveaway. As always, I love seeing your creations and thank you so much for sharing them with myself and the rest of the Fairytale Pattern Designs fans!
I have a new contest going on now: 4th of July Mashup Contest! Below is the information you need to know to enter the contest. Good luck!

Until next time, happy sewing!

Design Contest

Next, I would like to take a moment to thank each and every one of the participants for your hard work. You all made this contest such a wonderful success and I'm truly grateful to you all. I was completely blown away by the creativity exhibited. You made it very hard on the judges!! LOL

Next, I would like to thank the vendors for their generous donations. Without all of your contributions, this contest would not have been possible!

Design Contest

First off, I would like to thank all of the judges for all your time and dedication. I know it wasn't easy to choose and we spent MANY long hours discussing the different aspects of each entry. I'm sure anyone who saw the contest entry album on Facebook can appreciate how difficult that task was!
